In addition, a Radiation Safety Officer has the skills to measure, monitor and interpret radiation measurements, and knowledge of effects of radiation and other associated risks.
Zenith Radiation Safety is a nationally qualified radiation safety officer and can assist in all aspects of radiation safety and protection across Australia.
Radiation practices can appoint Zenith Radiation Safety to be their RSO. The aim of appointing an external RSO specialising in radiation helps to remove the logistics of radiation safety requirements and issues from the practice so that the practice can focus on what they do best. As the practice’s RSO, we will assume the role of a radiation expert and communicate with Radiation Health Authority on all aspects of radiation matter on behalf of the practice.
RSO appointment is mandatory for each radiation practice. QLD Radiation Health provides information explaining the role of an RSO for any radiation practice.
